I highly recommend it as one of the best single volume pictorial dictionaries available to anyone seeking greater understanding of the Bible and the way things were. I enjoy just reading it by itself and have learned and clarified much. I have compared the entries to other dictionaries and although it doesn't contain everything (what single volume can?) it does have certain references that are excluded by the others. I purchased this dictionary some years ago and it has been a constant companion to my bible.
